Ottumwa man to enter plea
A 20 year old Ottumwa man arrested last year in connection with the injury of an Ottumwa child is now expected to enter a plea.
Dustin D. Armstrong was arrested by Ottumwa Police in June of last year after a toddler was seriously injured while in Armstrong’s care.
In April Ottumwa Police were summoned to a house on East Woodland after receiving a report that a two year old boy was unresponsive. The boy was taken to Ottumwa Regional Health Center then airlifted to Iowa City.
Following an investigation, Armstrong was arrested on several felony counts including child endangerment. He is being held on the Wapello County Jail on a 50-thousand dollar cash only bond.
