(Ottumwa)— A panel of four people has been selected to determine if nomination papers submitted by Dennis Renfrew will be accepted or not.

Late last week it was determined some of the signatures on  nomination papers submitted by Renfrew may have included the signature of those not living within the city limits of Ottumwa.  Refrew took out nomination papers to run as a candidate for city council.

During Tuesday’s council meeting, councilman Brian Morgan, who is not running for council said he would have no problems serving on the board.  Councilman Mitch Niner said he would not feel comfortable being named to the board.  Councilman J.R. Richards agree with Niner.

Joining Morgan on the board will be city administrator Joe Helfenberger, Ottumwa Mayor Frank Flanders, and city clerk Amanda Valent.
