(Ottumwa)— The bond of an Ottumwa man charged with attempted murder has been reduced.
34 year old Clint Loveall was arrested on the charge in April after police officers stopped a car and found a person inside the vehicle suffering from stab wounds.
Loveall has been held in the Wapello County Jail on a 25-thousand dollar cash only bond. During a hearing this week Loveall’s bond was reduced to 10-thousand dollars.
In May a request by Loveall to be released to the Iowa Residential Treatment Center in Mt. Pleasant was denied by the court. The court ruled the facility in Mt. Pleasant was not a secure place and the violent nature of Loveall’s alleged offense as well as his previous criminal record means he should not be transferred.
