“Where in the World is God?: 40 Days of seeking God in the Realities of Life” addresses the apparent absence of God as jobs are lost, as terrorists attack, when nature turns on us, as we deal with poverty, disappointment with government and our leaders, and the grief and loss over our loved ones.  These questions will be explored, discussed, and prayed about at Bethany Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Curtis during this Lenten season.

Anyone of any faith, believers, or non-believers, may attend Monday through Friday, starting Feb. 10 and ending March 25, at Bethany Baptist Church at 201 McKinley Ave. in Ottumwa.  Morning sessions will be held from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. and evening sessions start at 4:30 p.m. and end at 5:15 p.m. One topic will be covered per day.  Pastor Curtis asks attendees to have a desire to grow spiritually, be open to learning from the Christian Scriptures, have an open mind, and a curiosity about prayer.

The Bethany Baptist Church holds services on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. with Sunday School afterwards.
