(Ottumwa)— The former director of the Ottumwa Transit Authority will be spending more time in a federal courtroom sometime this summer.
Pam Ward is charged with 4 counts of fraud after officials say the OTA received federal funds to operate the transit system. Specifically Ward is charged with using inflated ridership numbers to obtain the funds.
Earlier this month a federal jury in Des Moines was unable to reach a verdict after five days of testimony.
Ward’s attorneys filed a motion to continue the trial sometime between July 8th to September 3rd.
